The path to freedom
can be a reality
with a Service Dog

WHY A DOG? Dogs have served humans for years in work, sport, play, and companionship. Dogs give people unconditional companionship and devoted service. A disabled recipient and their dog establish a bond of friendship and understanding that is unique. The recipient gains a precious and invaluable feeling of independence and confidence.

WHO IS AIM HI? The Aim Hi Service Dog Training Centers are a pilot program developed by the United States Army Veterinary Services, the Medical Command and the Law Enforcement Command to benefit all branches of the military within the Department of Defense.

WHO CAN RECEIVE A DOG? Eligible Armed Forces Veterans, Retirees and Exceptional Family Member Program enrollees may apply for a service dog.

The Arthritis Foundation

To Children, Teens, and Families Challenged with Arthritis.

The Arthritis Foundation and Santa Rosa Hospital is sponsoring a special support group specifically for children with arthritis-related conditions. Hopefully we can assist in improving the quality of life of children with rheumatic disease and their families by providing education and support. The goal is to help children to realize that differences are a natural part of life and learn more about their particular type of arthritis. We will do this by bringing in rhematologists, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, aquatics instructors, and much more. Please don't miss the opportunity to allow your child to meet others who share similar experiences to theirs, to help them feel that they are not alone, and to make new friends. All support group meetings are free. For more information on group meetings and to RSVP, please call Jean Palmeri at (210) 670-0812.

Each day is a gift, that's why we call it the present.
